Hydraulic Cylinders

Expertise and Experience in Hydraulic Cylinders
Hydraulic Cylinders are mechanical devices used to transfer power in industrial applications. Various types, sizes and specifications of hydraulic cylinders
There is.

Hydraulic Cylinders Compliant with CETOP Norm: These cylinders are designed and manufactured according to European hydraulic standards. Available in single and double action, in different strokes up to 160 mm diameter.

Single and Double Acting Telescopic Cylinders:These cylinders are ideal for applications with long strokes and high lifting capacities. In different strokes up to 250 diameters,
Available as single and double acting.

Externally Connected and Internally Connected Cylinders: These cylinders are classified according to their connection type. Externally coupled rollers have a connection point on the outside of the shaft. Internally connected cylinders have a connection point inside the shaft.

All Types of Special Purpose Hydraulic Cylinders: These cylinders are specially designed and manufactured as per customers’ requirements. There are various special purpose hydraulic cylinders such as Mold Cylinders, Low speed special cylinders, High speed special hydraulic cylinders, High pressure special hydraulic cylinders.

As an engineering service suitable for the working environment of the cylinders manufactured by Selim Hidrolik, shaft buckling calculations, high pressure strength calculations, seal suitability criteria, working tolerances are prepared separately for each cylinder.
is calculated. Selim Hidrolik is a quality and reliable partner in hydraulic cylinders.

Basic Information About Hydraulic Cylinders
They are circuit elements that convert hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and are used to obtain linear motion.

They can convert the hydraulic energy produced by the pump into linear or angular motion with the help of a cylinder.

Cylinder diameter is one of the two effects that determine the cylinder force.

Cylinder Types

1)_ Single Acting Cylinders

2)_Double Acting Cylinders

3)_Special Cylinders

a)_Telescopic Cylinders

b)_Rotators (angular motors)

c)_ Tandem Rollers

d)_ Double shaft cylinders

1)_ Single Acting Cylinders
It is the rope on which the fluid acts on the piston from one side. While doing work in one direction, they move in the other direction with their own weight or an external influence. Single-acting cylinders can be produced as shaft-sealed or piston head-sealed.
2)_Double Acting Cylinders
pictures/4.JPG The cylinder has the feature of working in two directions. The operating speed and pressures of such cylinders are determined by the manufacturer. Since the base area and throat area are different, there is a difference between forward speed and reverse speed. In cases where this is not desired, double shaft double acting cylinders can be manufactured.
In full strokes, there may be hard stops at the beginning and end of the movement. To prevent this, hydraulic cylinders can be cushioned during manufacturing. When the cylinders, which move large loads, reach the end of their stroke, an impact occurs as a result of the piston hitting the cover. This impact damages circuit elements and causes mechanical connections to loosen. The operations performed on the cylinder to prevent impact at the end of the stroke are called cushioning.

a)_Telescopic cylinders
Telescopic cylinders can be used in cases where small size and long stroke are required due to manufacturing. Telescopic cylinders can be both double-acting and single-acting cylinders. Since they consist of nested cylinders, they take up little space.
b)_Rotators
In some applications, it is required to rotate the system at a certain angle and come back in the same direction. In these cases, the turning group can be supplied with hydraulic cylinders. Turntable movements are like rotating towers.
c)_ Tandem Rollers
In order to significantly increase the thrust force of a cylinder in an existing hydraulic system, there is no other option than increasing the cylinder diameter or pressure. In mechanical constructions where this is not suitable, a special type of cylinder called tandem cylinder is used to increase the thrust force. These cylinder strokes are created by adding more than one equal cylinder end to end.
d)_ Double shaft cylinders
In some application cases, it is desired that the thrust forces and speeds be the same in both directions. In such cases, cylinders with piston rods on both sides are used. Such cylinders may be adjustable stroke cylinders.
